十月26日，中共将召开十八届五中全会，拟定国民经济进步的十三五规划。在中共的领导下，中国人民已为达成第一个百年目的，到2020年全方位达成小康社会，奠定了坚实的基础。
百年目的用Centenary Goal 表示，是党的十八大提出的一项奋斗目的。第一个百年目的（the first Centenary Goal）指到中共成立一百年时，全方位建成小康社会（build a moderately prosperous society），第二个百年目的（the second Centenary Goal）是指到新中国成立100年时（2049年）建成富强、民主、文明、和谐的社会主义现代化国家（build a modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced and harmonious）。
